The B Series Industrial Scale Jaw Crusher is ideally suited for crushing large, blocky and hard materials to a specific particle size with a minimum of fines. Suitable for in-feed material up to 12 inches in diameter. Operation is quiet and virtually dust-free.
May 9, 2011. #1. Hello, I'm building a chipmunk type jaw crusher. I have everything I need and I'm building it out of "stuff and things and whatnot". The jaws will be made out of built-up grader blade. Seems to me the angle of the jaws will be pretty important if it's to function as desired. I'm guessing that the angle should be about 22 degrees.
There are lots of different kinds of crushers from jaw crushers to impactors and cone crushers. Crushing is an versatile process and the kind of crusher you need depends on the 'stage' of crushing. The three main stages of crushing are primary, secondary, and tertiary - all of which have their own unique benefits.
Additionally, jaw crusher feed should be pre-screened using a grizzly screen prior to crushing to remove material finer than the closed-side setting. Setting jaw crushers. Ideally, the reduction ratio of a jaw crusher should be 6-to-1. There are different ways to calculate reduction ratio, but the best way is something called the P80 factor.
Jaw crusher Jaw crusher is used as primary crusher. It uses compressive force for breaking the material. This mechanical pressure is achieved by the two jaws of the crusher. Reduction ratio is usually 6:1. The jaw crusher is consisting of two vertical jaws installed to a V form, where the top of the jaws are further away from each other than ...
2. Before starting the jaw crusher, you should first start the oil pump motor and cooling system. After 3-4 minutes, when the oil pressure and oil flow indicator are normal, start the motor. After starting, if the jaw crusher makes an abnormal sound, stop the operation, find out and eliminate the defects, and restart the machine.
Conventional jaw crusher design: C Series jaw crusher: C Series jaw crushers 7. The setting of the C Series jaw crusher can be adjusted with two wedges without shim plates. The Jaw Crusher was first introduced by Eli Whitney Blake in 1858 as a double-toggle Jaw Crusher. Introduced in 1906, McLanahan's Universal Jaw Crusher was one of the first modern era overhead eccentric Jaw Crushers. On the overhead eccentric style Jaw Crusher, the moving swing jaw is suspended on the eccentric shaft with heavy-duty …
The swing jaw undergoes two types of motion: one is a swing motion toward the opposite chamber side (called a stationary jaw die due to the action of a toggle plate), and the …
McLanahan offers two styles of Universal Jaw Crusher: standard shim adjust and hydraulic adjust. Shim adjust has a long proven history and is the standard in the industry. …

Jaw crushers typically use the principles of compression and friction to break materials down. They're extremely powerful equipment that should be used with the utmost care. Jaw crushers are so powerful that they've earned the moniker "rock breakers" because of their brute force. All jaw crushers will have one fixed jaw and a moving one.
Shimming A Jaw Crusher. We usually use shims in jaw crushers to compensate for wear on toggle seat, toggle plate, pitman toggle seat and jaws, and also to maintain or change the crusher CSS closed side setting, by making minor setting changes between the crushers mainframe and the toggle block. The setting adjustment system is built into the ...
Lump breakers are ideal most common de-agglomeration applications, and where flowability is the goal. Industrial hammer mills and jaw crushers are the size reduction equipment of choice for processing large, blocky and/or abrasive materials. Schutte-Buffalo offers an extensive line of lump breakers, industrial hammer mills, and jaw crushers. All models …
Best suited for secondary crushing applications, cone crushers are designed to crush pre-sized materials, usually 100mm, 150mm or 200mm, depending on the size of the crusher. Cone crushers can form finished products down to 12mm or less. Like the jaw crusher, the cone crusher provides a relatively low cost crushing solution, but there are ...
Jaw crusher units with extra-long, articulated crusher jaws prevent coarse material from blocking while moving all mounting elements of the crusher jaw from the wear area. A more even material flow may be affected if the transfer from the prescreen or the feeder trough is designed so material simply tilts into the crushing jaw.
Our jaw crushers are of the single-toggle type and feature a deep, symmetrical crushing chamber, a large feed opening for its size, and an ideal nip angle that offers smooth …

A small jaw crusher originally designed for testing the properties of rock material was modified (see Fig. 2). Rock material is fed into the top of the crusher. The rotating eccentric shaft and the link give the right liner an oscillating motion that will crush the material. The left, stationary liner has three load cells.
